
Fire Erupts at Thuni Railway Station, No Injuries Reported
A fire incident occurred at Thuni Railway Station on Wednesday afternoon , causing a brief commotion in the area. Flames erupted from a stack of old name boards stored on the terrace of the station building , prompting quick action from authorities .
Railway emergency teams and the fire brigade rushed to the scene and successfully brought the fire under control, preventing any major damage. Sridhar, Public Relations Officer of the South Central Railway, stated that the old boards had been removed during station modernization work and temporarily placed on the terrace. The boards caught fire, but thanks to the swift response of fire personnel, the flames were contained immediately.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, and railway property sustained no damage. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation. However, authorities have taken into custody a person who was present at the station at the time of the fire, as his behavior raised suspicion. The individual, believed to have mental health issues, is currently being questioned by officials.
Railway officials also assured passengers that train operations through Thuni Station were not disrupted and services continued as scheduled. Travelers have no reason to be alarmed, the statement added.
