Fire breaks out at residential building on Visakhapatnam’s RK beach road

A fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon at Radha Beach Residences, located near RK Beach Road in Visakhapatnam. The blaze started suddenly in a flat on the ninth floor, causing panic among residents as smoke quickly spread through the building.

Firefighters rushed to the spot after receiving alerts from locals and immediately began firefighting operations. Additional fire tenders and police teams arrived soon after, helping prevent the situation from getting worse. Thanks to the quick response, the flames were contained within an hour and did not spread to other apartments.

A resident of the building said it was a minor fire but enough to alarm everyone. “The fire and police teams responded very quickly. They acted professionally and brought the situation under control within an hour. No one was injured,” the resident said.

According to the police, there were no casualties. However, some rooms and furniture in the affected flat were damaged. Officials are investigating the cause of the fire, including whether it was triggered by a short circuit or some other reason.
