Final Day to Apply for UPSC CGPDTM Examiner Recruitment

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued an official notification inviting online applications for 102 posts , including Examiner of Trade Marks and Geographical Indications and Deputy Director (Examination Reforms) , under Advertisement No. 14/2025.

According to the notification, the recruitment drive comprises 100 posts of Examiner of Trade Marks & Geographical Indications and two posts of Deputy Director (Examination Reforms) . The online application process commenced on December 13, 2025 , and will close on January 1, 2026, at 6 pm . Applications will be accepted only through the UPSC website, upsconline.nic.in .

For the Examiner posts, candidates must possess a degree in law from a recognised university along with two years’ experience in handling court cases, legal matters, or issues related to trade marks and geographical indications. A Master’s degree in Intellectual Property is listed as a desirable qualification. The maximum age limit for unreserved and EWS candidates is 30 years , with age relaxations applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

The Deputy Director (Examination Reforms) posts require candidates to hold a Ph.D. in any discipline , including humanities, science, commerce, engineering, law, management, or finance, along with five years of post-qualification experience in teaching, research, curriculum development, examination reforms, or administration of online examinations.

The selected candidates will be appointed to gazetted posts , with the Examiner positions classified as Group-B and the Deputy Director positions as Group-A services. The pay scale ranges from Level-07 to Level-11 under the 7th Central Pay Commission.

The application fee is ₹25 for General, OBC and EWS male candidates , while women candidates and those belonging to SC, ST and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories are exempted from payment.

The selection will be made through an interview or a recruitment test followed by an interview , depending on the number of applicants, as decided by the Commission. Shortlisting criteria may be adopted to limit candidates called for interview.
