
Faridabad Gang Rape: Victim assaulted in private hospital ambulance, accused arrested
A 25-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in a private hospital ambulance by two men in Faridabad, police said, correcting earlier reports that the crime took place in a van. The shocking incident occurred on the night of Monday, December 30, into the early hours of Tuesday, December 31, 2025 .
A senior investigating officer said the two accused, one from Mathura and the other from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, worked as driver and helper in the ambulance . Both have been arrested and sent to judicial custody .
According to police, the woman had gone to her friend’s house in Sector 23 on Monday evening . While returning home, she first took an auto-rickshaw to NIT 2 Chowk and then walked to Metro Chowk. Around midnight, while waiting for another auto, the accused offered her a lift. Instead, they drove her towards Gurugram, locked the ambulance, assaulted her, and threw her near Raja Chowk around 3 am . Six days after the incident, the woman remains hospitalized at a private hospital.
A purported video of the survivor has surfaced in which she said that one of the accused transferred Rs 600 into her PayTM account after giving her a lift , before snatching her mobile and assaulting her. “There was dense fog at night. I cried out loud, but there was no help,” she said.
Police said that once the woman recovers, an identification parade will be conducted before a magistrate, and the accused will be further questioned through a production warrant from jail .
