
Explore 6,000+ Free eBooks at Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya at New Delhi World Book Fair
Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya, the flagship digital library initiative of the Ministry of Education, has achieved a significant milestone, now offering over 6,000 free eBooks . The platform, aimed at promoting reading and digital literacy, will be a key attraction at the 53rd New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF) 2026 .
The fair will run from January 10 to 18, 2026 , at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan , with daily timings from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM . Visitors can explore a dedicated digital reading corner , participate in “Spin the Wheel” activities for prizes, and access an extensive collection of books from 19+ genres and over 280 publishers .
Schools across India are integrating Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya into their curriculum to foster digital learning. Each school can appoint a Nodal Officer to coordinate orientation sessions with the platform. Teachers can also establish digital reading clubs and organize interactive sessions to monitor student progress and encourage collaborative learning. Schools are encouraged to link the library to their websites and utilize ICT facilities for wider student access.
The Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya app , available for Android and iOS devices , allows users to download eBooks for offline reading , ensuring uninterrupted access even without internet connectivity. Books are categorized by age groups 3–8, 8–11, 11–14, and 14–18+ years and are available in 22 Indian languages and English , making it easy for parents to find age-appropriate reading material.
With this milestone, the Ministry of Education continues to promote digital literacy and reading culture nationwide , inviting students, teachers, and parents to join the initiative and explore the app’s universe of knowledge, excitement, and discovery .
