Every Citizen Must Become a Partner in Nation-Building: CM Chandrababu Naidu
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called for the Partners in Nation Building initiative to be transformed into a statewide people’s movement, with every citizen playing an active role in the country’s development.
Reviewing the proposed programme with officials on August 8, Naidu said public participation would be crucial to achieving the goals of Viksit Bharat and Swarna Andhra–2047. He directed officials to design initiatives that encourage citizens to identify their own goals for 2047 and contribute towards achieving them.
The programme will be formally launched on August 15, as India completes 79 years of Independence and enters its 80th year. The Chief Minister stressed the need to create awareness about the responsibility of every citizen towards nation-building and ensure that the message of “My country, my nation first” reaches every household.
Naidu also instructed officials to ensure that the National Flag is hoisted at every home from August 13 to 15. He called for special initiatives aimed at involving young people and students in shaping the future of both Andhra Pradesh and the country.
The Chief Minister suggested creating platforms at the village level to nurture leadership qualities among people across different fields. He also called for reviving the spirit of voluntary service that once existed in rural communities and using the initiative to encourage greater public participation in social service activities.
Naidu said the ideas, energy and capabilities of the youth should be channelled towards nation-building. Citizens, he said, should not remain mere beneficiaries of government welfare schemes but should become active partners and stakeholders in shaping the state’s future.
He directed officials to review the progress achieved towards the 2047 goals every year on August 15 and stressed that the initiative should evolve into a sustained public movement involving citizens across Andhra Pradesh.
