Every Acre to Get Water Through ‘Jaladhara’: CM Chandrababu

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu reaffirmed that providing irrigation to every acre in Andhra Pradesh is a top priority. He made the announcement during the ‘Jaladhara’ program in Kadakallu village, Yadiki Mandal, Tadipatri constituency, Anantapur district.

At the event, he unveiled the Water Security Irrigation Societies Responsibility App and introduced a 100-day action plan for water conservation . Emphasizing the link between water and prosperity, he said, “Wealth thrives where water flows. Conserving water is the backbone of the state’s economic development .”

Naidu highlighted government initiatives in Rayalaseema , including check dams, farm ponds, and micro-irrigation projects, which have significantly improved groundwater levels. He noted that Andhra Pradesh leads the nation in implementing drip and micro-irrigation systems and assured farmers of uninterrupted water supply in the upcoming Kharif and Rabi seasons.

Criticizing the opposition YSRCP , he dismissed unusual proposals like ‘MAVIGAN’ and defended Amaravati’s development, calling the Parliament-approved recognition of Amaravati as the state capital a historic victory for the people.

As an example of transparent governance, the CM presented a progress report on Tadipatri constituency and questioned officials with poor field-level performance. He also visited horticulture and water conservation stalls, engaging with farmers and citizens. The event saw participation from state ministers, local representatives, and a large crowd.
