Environmental Safeguards Take Center Stage as HYDRA Earns Forum Accolades

The SpeakIn Asia Dialogues Forum–2026 highlighted the critical importance of advancing technology while simultaneously protecting the environment. HYDRA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath explained that the agency’s work extends far beyond removing encroachments. Its broader objectives include:

• Public asset protection – safeguarding government and community properties.

• Environmental conservation – preserving lakes, flood canals, and green spaces.

• Disaster management – preparing the city to face natural calamities proactively.

• Urban safety – ensuring security and safety for all city residents.

HYDRA has successfully protected 1,350 acres of government land , valued at approximately ₹65,000 crore , thereby securing Hyderabad’s urban landscape for future generations. Commissioner Ranganath emphasized that HYDRA’s initiatives are focused on public welfare, executed impartially, and designed to help the city withstand environmental challenges.
