
Ensure Uninterrupted LPG Supply, CM N. Chandrababu Naidu Tells Officials
Amid the prevailing war-like tensions in West Asia, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to take advance measures to ensure that LPG supply in the state remains uninterrupted. He emphasised that the government must prevent any anxiety or misconceptions among the public regarding the availability of domestic cooking gas .
The Chief Minister conducted a high-level review meeting on Monday at the Real Time Governance Society centre in Undavalli with representatives of oil marketing companies and senior officials from the Civil Supplies Department to assess the current LPG supply situation and distribution system.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister instructed officials to maintain transparency in the distribution of LPG cylinders and take strict steps to prevent black marketing . He also directed authorities to intensify field-level vigilance to curb the diversion of domestic cylinders. Officials were asked to ensure that consumers do not face delays in receiving cylinders and that the distribution system is monitored regularly.
He further stressed that gas supply to Anna Canteens , which provide affordable meals to the poor, should continue without disruption and asked officials to give special attention to maintaining adequate supply for these centres.
Officials informed the Chief Minister that LPG reserves in the state are currently sufficient, with around 17,209 tonnes of stock available. They also explained that supply is continuing smoothly through 1,154 gas agencies operated by Bharat Petroleum , Hindustan Petroleum , and Indian Oil Corporation across the state.
The Chief Minister also asked officials to reduce the waiting time for consumers after booking LPG cylinders and ensure quicker delivery.
He further directed authorities to prioritise gas supply to hospitals, schools, and temples , while maintaining continuous monitoring of LPG stocks and daily distribution.
