Empowering Protectors: Special Refresher Program for Hyderabad SHE Teams

In a bid to strengthen women and child safety across the city, Hyderabad police recently organized a special refresher training program for their SHE Teams. According to a recent report by Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, the training was led by senior officials under the guidance of Additional Commissioner M. Srinivas and DCP Dr. Lavanya N.J.P. of the Women Safety Wing.

The program emphasized handling victims with sensitivity, empathy, and respect , ensuring that interventions are lawful, victim-centric, and instilling public confidence in the city’s safety framework.

Experts provided both lectures and practical sessions covering a wide range of topics, including BNS protocols, special laws, victim assistance, soft skills, self-defense, cybercrime awareness, technological tools, and SHE Portal management . Retired police officers, legal experts, cybercrime specialists, and counselors trained personnel in field practices , including decoy operations and managing red-handed cases.

• Stay alert while traveling and report suspicious activities immediately.

• Be cautious of fake profiles online and avoid oversharing personal information.

• Use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication.
