Employees Are the True Brand Ambassadors of Organisations: Minister Vivek

Employees are the true brand ambassadors of any organisation, and their satisfaction is the key factor in enhancing productivity, said Telangana State Minister for Labour, Employment, Mines and Geology , Vivek Venkataswamy. He emphasised that Human Resources (HR) departments play a crucial role in implementing progressive policies within organisations.

The Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the third HR Summit organised by ASSOCHAM at HICC Novotel in Hyderabad. He said he was pleased to attend the programme and expressed happiness at reconnecting with industry leaders.

Observing the evolving role of HR departments, the Minister noted that while they did not receive significant importance in the past, they have now become among the most critical divisions in any organisation. He said managing employees effectively, retaining talent, and enhancing productivity remain major challenges for HR professionals.

Recalling his earlier tenure as CII President , he said that during that period, there were numerous challenges, including wage-related and labour issues. However, over time, substantial changes have taken place in the labour ecosystem. He also mentioned that his father, Kaka Venkataswamy, had served as Labour Minister.

Speaking about the State Government’s initiatives, Vivek Venkataswamy said Telangana is giving high priority to skill development . The government is upgrading old ITIs into modern training centres and establishing such centres in rural areas as well. He invited HR leaders to recruit trained human resources aligned with industry requirements and to provide suggestions on new courses that could be introduced.
