ED attaches Anil Ambani’s Mumbai ‘abode’ worth Rs 3,716 crore
In a major move under the anti-money laundering framework, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached Reliance Group chairman Anil Ambani’s luxurious Mumbai residence, ‘Abode’ , valued at Rs 3,716 crore , official sources confirmed on Wednesday.
The 17-storey property, rising 66 metres in the upscale Pali Hill area, has been provisionally attached under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) . The action is part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged bank fraud involving Reliance Communications (RCOM) , a group company.
Sources said the ED’s latest attachment brings the total value of seized assets in the case to around Rs 15,700 crore . Ambani, 66, is expected to appear before the federal agency for his second round of questioning . He had previously deposed in August 2025, with his statement recorded under the PMLA.
The ED’s order signals a firm stance in tackling alleged financial irregularities linked to high-profile corporate entities, reflecting the agency’s continued scrutiny of the telecom group’s financial dealings .
