ED Attaches ₹1,906 Crore Assets Linked to Gameskraft in Online Gaming Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached assets worth ₹1,906 crore belonging to online gaming company Gameskraft Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and entities linked to its shareholders, alleging that the platform created an “addictive” gaming environment that encouraged users to engage in repeated wagering.

The attachment, made under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) on July 22, includes bank and fixed deposits, mutual funds, convertible notes, equity shares, a farmhouse, and several residential and commercial properties. The assets are reportedly held in the names of Gameskraft shareholders, their family members, private family trusts and associated entities.

According to the ED, Gameskraft and RummyTime Technologies operated online Real Money Games (RMGs) through apps including RummyCulture, RummyPrime, Playship and RummyTime. The platforms allegedly had around 3 crore users, primarily from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

The agency alleged that the companies earned revenue by charging a 10–15 per cent platform commission on the amounts staked or wagered by users. It further claimed that BOTs and automated algorithms were deployed to play against users who were unaware of their presence.

The ED said players were allegedly attracted through bonuses, referral incentives, free tournament entries and promotional rewards designed to encourage continuous gameplay and increased deposits.

The agency alleged that these practices generated substantial proceeds of crime through platform commissions, which were subsequently layered and integrated through dividend payments and share buy-backs involving shareholders.

With the latest action, the ED said the total value of assets attached, seized or frozen in the case has risen to ₹2,401 crore. Online money gaming was banned in India by the Union government in August 2025.
