EaseMyTrip, one of India’s leading travel-tech companies, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Raipur District Administration to promote skill development and strengthen the region’s tourism ecosystem. The agreement, inked in the presence of Honourable Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, represents a strategic step toward empowering local youth and fostering sustainable tourism in Chattisgarh’s capital district.

Under this partnership, EaseMyTrip will extend specialised training to participants focusing on digital travel booking, customer service excellence, local tour guiding, heritage interpretation, and basic hospitality management. The initiative is designed to align with the district’s broader vision of nurturing a skilled workforce capable of contributing to the local tourism economy.

The collaboration also marks the launch of Project Paryatan Saathi, a 45-day free tourism guide training programme aimed at youth aged 18 to 30 who have completed at least the 10th standard. Conducted at Government ITI, Saddu, the training features 120 hours of classroom sessions led by EaseMyTrip’s Delhi-based travel experts. Participants are being equipped with foundational knowledge in tour guiding, customer interaction, digital booking systems, and tourism operations skills that can directly translate into employment opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion, Nishant Pitti, Founder and CMD of EaseMyTrip, said, “We at EaseMyTrip believe that tourism has the power to transform lives. It opens avenues for learning, growth, and meaningful work. These opportunities strengthen communities and drive local economies. This MoU with the Raipur District Administration turns that belief into action empowering young people with practical skills in travel and tourism to help them build sustainable careers and contribute to the region’s growth.”

The inaugural batch of Project Paryatan Saathi has already attracted 45 participants, signalling strong interest among local youth in pursuing tourism-related careers. The company stated that this collaboration will create a foundation for a skilled talent pool capable of shaping Raipur’s tourism future through a blend of education, entrepreneurship, and employment.

EaseMyTrip’s partnership with the Raipur District Administration is expected to enhance the visibility of Raipur as a tourism-friendly destination while promoting community-driven, inclusive growth. The initiative reflects a broader shift in India’s travel sector toward sustainability and skill-based empowerment.

According to company information, EaseMyTrip (listed on NSE and BSE) is among India’s largest online travel-tech platforms by air ticket booking volume, as per the Crisil Report – Assessment of the OTA Industry in India (February 2021).
