EAGLE Force Raids Hyderabad Pub, Seven Held for Drug Consumption

The EAGLE Force in Telangana on Friday conducted a raid at a pub in Kondapur , apprehending seven individuals for the alleged consumption of narcotic drugs . The operation, carried out in coordination with Gachibowli Police , targeted large-scale drug abuse in pubs, hotels, and other public spaces.

According to an official release, the raid was based on credible intelligence about a special party featuring international DJ “Black Coffee” during the night of March 2–3. To ensure a precise operation, the EAGLE formed six teams to carry out a surprise check without disrupting the ongoing event.

Prior to the raid, the authorities shortlisted 64 individuals suspected of drug use. Using urine drug test kits , five attendees were tested on-site. Results revealed that four tested positive for ganja and benzodiazepine , while three others were positive for ganja and methamphetamine . This confirmed a total of seven individuals consuming narcotics illegally.

The release noted that the accused voluntarily admitted to drug use. Authorities collected information regarding their social networks and will contact their parents or guardians to ensure participation in de-addiction programs , aiming to prevent the development of severe dependency.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, 1985 , and investigations are ongoing to trace the source and distribution networks. The operation reflects the state’s intensified efforts to monitor and curb drug abuse in public gatherings, especially in urban entertainment hubs.
