Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Kaantha’ finally gets a release date on November 14

After months of anticipation and multiple delays, Dulquer Salmaan’s much-awaited film Kaantha is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on November 14. Fans can finally mark their calendars for this period drama that promises a mix of emotion, drama, and vintage cinematic charm.

Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, known for his acclaimed docuseries The Hunt for Veerappan , Kaantha transports viewers to 1950s Madras, a time of cinematic evolution and societal transformation. The film delves into the tussle between tradition and modernity, both on screen and behind it, making it a story that resonates even today.

The story revolves around a legendary filmmaker, Ayya (played by Samuthirakani), and a rising movie star, Chandran (played by Dulquer).
