Mollywood star Dulquer Salmaan’s 'I’m Game' is gearing up for its digital premiere nearly two months after its theatrical release. Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, the fantasy action thriller will begin streaming on JioHotstar from November 6, giving audiences who missed its theatrical run an opportunity to watch the film at home.

The film will be available in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada, extending its reach beyond its original-language audience. The streaming date was confirmed on October 31, ending the wait for viewers looking forward to its digital debut.

Released in theatres on September 3, 'I’m Game' marked Dulquer’s return to Malayalam cinema as a leading actor after 'King of Kotha' (2023). The film generated considerable interest ahead of its release, particularly because of its unusual premise and the combination of fantasy, action and thriller elements. However, its theatrical reception was mixed, with several critics pointing to shortcomings in the screenplay and narrative despite appreciating Dulquer’s performance.

The story follows Dan John, played by Dulquer, a gambler whose pursuit of money and thrills leads him into a series of unexpected events. After an accident results in him receiving a transplanted hand, he begins experiencing strange occurrences that take the story in a supernatural direction. The unusual premise forms the central mystery of the film.

Directed by Nahas Hidhayath, who previously helmed the action entertainer 'RDX', the film features an ensemble cast comprising Kayadu Lohar, Antony Varghese, Mysskin, Vinay Forrt, Kathir, Samyuktha Viswanathan, Parth Tiwari and Ashish Mathew, among others.

Dulquer has also backed the project as a producer under his Wayfarer Films banner, alongside Jom Varghese. Jakes Bejoy has composed the music, while Jimshi Khalid handled the cinematography and Chaman Chacko took charge of editing.

With its digital premiere approaching, 'I’m Game' will now get another opportunity to reach audiences across multiple languages. Whether its OTT run finds a more receptive audience than its theatrical outing remains to be seen.
