A major controversy has erupted in Andhra Pradesh over the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process, with opposition leader and former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy demanded a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities and the state government strongly defended the selection process.

The dispute gained traction after hundreds of candidates met Jagan in Amaravati, claiming they were denied appointments despite clearing all stages of the recruitment process. According to the candidates, they secured qualifying ranks, completed certificate verification , and received call letters, only to find their names missing from the final selection lists without a clear explanation.

Backing the candidates, Jagan alleged serious lapses in the preparation of merit lists , implementation of reservations , sports quota allocations, and roster management. He called for an independent probe and assured candidates that the YSR Congress Party would support their legal battle, including covering court and legal expenses. He also warned that if the issue remained unresolved, a future YSRCP government would launch a special inquiry into the recruitment process.

The former chief minister further claimed that concerns over the recruitment process had surfaced early, including allegations of question paper leaks and changes to government guidelines during the selection process. He argued that officials had failed to adequately address candidates’ grievances.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu dismissed the allegations as baseless and politically motivated. He said the recruitment drive, which aimed to fill nearly 16,000 teacher posts , was conducted transparently using technology-driven systems and strict safeguards.

Naidu also rejected claims of irregularities in sports quota appointments, stating that selections were made in accordance with eligibility norms and certification standards prescribed by the Union government. He accused the opposition of spreading misinformation and attempting to undermine a major recruitment initiative for political reasons.

As the dispute intensifies, affected candidates are preparing to seek legal remedies, while both the government and opposition remain firm in their positions. The controversy has now evolved beyond a recruitment issue into a high-profile political battle, with thousands of aspirants awaiting clarity on their future.
