Drugs Worth Rs 50 Crore Seized as Delhi Police Busts Heroin Network

Delhi Police has busted an alleged interstate heroin supply-cum-manufacturing network and arrested four people, recovering heroin and other contraband worth around Rs 50 crore, an officer said on Monday.

The operation was carried out by a team of the Rohini district police, which dismantled the alleged drug network following an investigation into the movement and supply of narcotics, the officer said.

Four persons have been arrested in connection with the case, while a substantial quantity of heroin and other contraband was recovered during the operation. The total value of the seized drugs and related contraband has been estimated at around Rs 50 crore, according to police.

The alleged network was involved in both the supply and manufacturing of heroin, indicating the scale of the operation and its interstate links, officials said.

The police action comes as part of efforts to crack down on organised narcotics networks operating across state borders and prevent the distribution of illegal drugs.
