Drishyam 3 Hindi coming to theatres on 2nd October 2026

Bollywood’s popular suspense thriller franchise Drishyam is set to return with its third chapter, as Ajay Devgn gears up to reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar . The makers have officially announced that Drishyam 3 will release in cinemas worldwide on October 2, 2026 , keeping alive the franchise’s tradition of unveiling major chapters on the iconic date.

The announcement has sparked excitement among fans, with audiences eagerly waiting to see how Vijay once again navigates danger using intelligence, emotional strength and an unbreakable bond with his family. Over the years, the character has become one of Hindi cinema’s most respected on-screen fathers, admired for his sharp mind rather than brute force.

Shooting for Drishyam 3 is currently underway across multiple cities and locations. The makers have revealed that the story will move forward within the established Drishyam timeline, while introducing fresh conflicts, unexpected twists and heightened emotional stakes for the Salgaonkar family.

The original ensemble cast returns, with Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor reprising their roles. Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav will once again be seen as Vijay’s daughters, along with several other notable actors joining the cast to deepen the suspense.

The Drishyam franchise originally began in Malayalam cinema, with filmmaker Jeethu Joseph creating the character of Georgekutty, portrayed by Mohanlal. The original Malayalam Drishyam 3 is expected to release earlier in 2026, ahead of its Hindi adaptation, though the makers are yet to announce an official release date.

The story has also been successfully adapted in Telugu cinema, where Venkatesh Daggubati played the role of Rambabu in Drushyam and Drushyam 2 .
