Double Tragedy in Parvathipuram Manyam as Two Boys Drown in Pond

A tragic incident has cast a shadow over Parvathipuram Manyam district , where two young boys lost their lives after drowning in a pond, leaving the local community in deep sorrow. The mishap took place on Monday evening, with police disclosing the details on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as nine-year-old students of a government school in Lakkaguda village .

As per Palakonda DSP G. Rambabu , schools are currently functioning only till noon due to the summer schedule. After returning home, the boys went to a nearby pond around 4 PM to take a bath. While entering the water, they reportedly got stuck in the muddy bottom and were unable to come out. Struggling to breathe, both children drowned at the spot.

The boys had told their parents they were going out after lunch, but the heartbreaking news of their deaths left the families in inconsolable grief. Police have registered a case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and initiated an investigation.
