Don’t fear AI: Yogi’s message to youth

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday urged the state’s youth to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies, asserting that technological advancements do not eliminate jobs but create new opportunities. Speaking at an event in Ghaziabad as part of the Seva Pakhwada, which commenced on September 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, the Chief Minister emphasized the transformative potential of AI in sectors such as agriculture, education, and healthcare. He noted that farmers who adopt technology could potentially triple their productivity, drawing parallels with the impact of computers in earlier decades.

During the event, CM Adityanath also released a book titled Bharatvarsh Ki Swarnabha Narendra Modi, authored by former Member of Parliament Ramesh Chandra Tomar. The Chief Minister described the book as an inspiring compilation of the Prime Minister’s achievements and suggested that it be made available in universities, colleges, and libraries to motivate the youth.

The Seva Pakhwada 2025, inaugurated by CM Yogi in Lucknow, is a 15-day nationwide campaign running from September 17 to October 2, organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to honor PM Modi's leadership and promote public service initiatives across India. The campaign includes health camps, cleanliness drives, and educational outreach programs aimed at engaging citizens in community service. CM Yogi praised PM Modi as one of the world’s most visionary leaders, highlighting his transformative impact on India’s global stature and economic growth.

Highlighting India’s economic progress, Yogi Adityanath stated that under PM Modi’s leadership, India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy and is projected to attain the third position globally in the near future. He added that Uttar Pradesh’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has grown from ₹12.75 lakh crore in 2016-17 and is targeted to reach ₹36 lakh crore by 2025-26, aligning with the vision of a developed India and a “viksit UP.”

Reflecting on his tenure as Chief Minister, Yogi recalled that prior to 2017, Ghaziabad and surrounding districts, including Bijnor and Agra, were infamous for crime and lawlessness. He noted that Ghaziabad has since transformed into a hub of education and industry due to governance reforms and development initiatives.

Addressing the public, he stressed the importance of youth, farmers, women, and entrepreneurs as the state’s driving force and encouraged citizens to submit suggestions for the Viksit UP-2047 Vision Document via the Samarth UP portal. The best suggestions from each district and state will be recognized at respective levels.

CM Adityanath also reiterated the need for citizens to embrace their Indian identity, drawing inspiration from the PM’s ‘Panch Pran’, and to discard colonial-era mindsets. He shared anecdotes emphasizing self-reliance and the strength inherent in India’s youth and communities.

The Chief Minister’s remarks underscore Uttar Pradesh’s focus on technological adoption, skill development, and public participation as pillars for future growth and innovation. The Seva Pakhwada 2025 serves as a platform to celebrate public service, promote technological advancement, and engage citizens in the nation’s development journey.
