A shocking case of medical negligence at the Tuni Government Area Hospital in Kakinada district has sparked public outrage. A young man who was injured in a road accident underwent surgery at the hospital, but doctors allegedly left a surgical blade inside his body before stitching up the wound.

The accident victim was brought to the hospital for treatment and operated on under the supervision of orthopedic surgeon Dr. Satya Sagar. After the surgery, the patient repeatedly complained of severe pain. Suspecting complications, the medical team conducted an X-ray, which clearly showed that a surgical blade had been left inside the patient.

The patient’s family immediately reported the matter to senior hospital officials. Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav expressed strong anger, stating that such negligence was unacceptable. “Playing with patients’ lives in the name of treatment will not be tolerated. Incidents like this must never happen again,” he warned.

Following the minister’s instructions, the hospital superintendent and district officials conducted an inquiry and submitted a report to the government. The investigation confirmed that Dr. Satya Sagar and staff nurse Padmavathi had failed to follow basic medical protocols. Based on the findings, Secondary Health Director Chakradhar Babu issued orders suspending both of them with immediate effect.
