District collector distributes educational materials to support students’ future

Nellore district officials are placing special focus on the education and well-being of underprivileged students, aiming to secure a brighter future for them, said District Collector Himanshu Shukla.

As part of New Year celebrations, the Collector personally distributed educational supplies and food items to students, expressing his hope that they continue to study diligently and achieve great heights in life.

Typically, New Year festivities see officials and public figures exchanging garlands and greetings. This year, however, a large number of public representatives and officials contributed educational materials as gifts for the Collector, who then ensured they reached the students who needed them the most.

On January 1, the materials were distributed to students at the Janahita-Vatsalya Orphanage in R.K. Nagar, Nellore city, as well as to girls at the SC Girls’ Hostel in Kavali.

The donation included 834 long notebooks, 368 short notebooks, 138 exam pads, 795 pens, and a large number of pencils and color crayons. Additionally, 262 reference books such as dictionaries, atlases, English grammar books, and spiritual texts including Valmiki’s Ramayana were provided to support students’ learning and personal growth.

“The main goal of this initiative is to provide students with the tools they need for academic progress,” said Collector Shukla. He urged students to make the best use of the resources provided by the government and strive for excellence in society.
