Director Atlee and wife Priya Mohan announce second pregnancy

Filmmaker Atlee and his wife Priya are joyfully expecting their second child, sharing their excitement with fans through a heartfelt social media announcement. The couple, already proud parents to their three‑year‑old son Meer, revealed the news on Instagram on Tuesday with a series of intimate family photos.

In the images from the maternity shoot, Priya tenderly cradles her baby bump in a soft mehndi‑green dress while Atlee stands beside her, both smiling as little Meer playfully looks at his own tummy. Several shots include their five beloved pets Becky, Yuki, Chocki, Coffee and Goofy adding an affectionate, homely feel to the announcement.

“Our home is about to get even cozier with the addition of our newest member! Yes! We are pregnant again. Need all your blessings, love and prayers,” the couple wrote in the caption, signing off with love from their entire family, humans and furry companions included.

Atlee and Priya’s first child, a son named Meer , was born on January 31, 2023, after they announced Priya’s pregnancy in December 2022 following eight years of marriage. Back then, Priya had shared the joyous news on Instagram, expressing their excitement about embarking on parenthood.

The couple tied the knot in November 2014 in a traditional ceremony after several years of dating, and Priya has often been seen supporting Atlee in his personal and professional journey.

On the professional front, Atlee, who rose to prominence with blockbusters such as Raja Rani , Theri , Mersal and Bigil , also made a mark in Bollywood with Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan. The film became one of the highest‑grossing Hindi films, and he continues to work on new projects that have generated buzz in the industry.
