Dhurandhar nears ₹900 crore mark at Indian box office
Dhurandhar continues its remarkable run at the Indian box office, inching closer to the coveted ₹900 crore milestone. The film added ₹2.10 crore on Friday, followed by ₹3.60 crore on Saturday and a strong ₹4.25 crore on Sunday, taking its total India net collection to an impressive ₹879.75 crore.
The film’s dominance is not limited to domestic markets. Worldwide, Dhurandhar has grossed ₹1,328.23 crore, firmly placing it among the highest earning Indian films of all time. Jio Studios , which backed the project, described the film as one of India’s top box office performers ever, noting that it has surpassed the domestic earnings of several major Hindi releases.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh called Dhurandhar an “unstoppable force”, pointing to its sustained audience pull weeks after release. However, fresh competition is on the horizon. Border 2 , starring Sunny Deol , is already generating significant buzz, with advance bookings crossing 85,000 tickets and an estimated Day 1 net collection of ₹2.5 crore, according to trade sources.
Meanwhile, the Dhurandhar 2 franchise is set to expand further. The sequel is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026. Actor Akshaye Khanna is expected to reprise his villainous role through flashback sequences, adding continuity to the storyline and heightening anticipation among fans.
With its current momentum, Dhurandhar is widely expected to cross the ₹900 crore mark in India in the coming days, reinforcing its status as a modern box office phenomenon.
