Dhruv Vikram’s “Bison” to release in Tamil & Telugu on October 24

From the heart of turmoil rises a believer and this October, the roar of Bison is set to echo across theatres. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mari Selvaraj, Bison: Kaalamaadan is an upcoming Tamil-language sports drama starring Dhruv Vikram and Anupama Parameswaran in lead roles. The film will also release in Telugu as Bison , bringing its powerful story to a wider audience.

Jointly produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Seigal, Pa. Ranjith, and Aditi Anand under Applause Entertainment and Neelam Studios, the film features a stellar supporting cast including Lal, Pasupathy, Rajisha Vijayan, Hari Krishnan, Azhagam Perumal, and Kalaiyarasan.

The trailer, shared with the tagline “From the heart of turmoil, rises a believer… a storm that can’t be tamed,” promises an intense, emotional journey rooted in Mari Selvaraj’s signature social storytelling.

Originally announced in December 2020 under the working title DV03 (marking Dhruv’s third lead role), the film was officially titled Bison: Kaalamaadan in May 2024. Principal photography began in Chennai and wrapped up by February 2025.

The film’s technical team includes Nivas K. Prasanna as music composer, Ezhil Arasu K handling cinematography, and Sakthi Thiru on editing duties.

With a compelling mix of sports, emotion, and social themes, Bison: Kaalamaadan is set to storm theatres on October 24, in both Tamil and Telugu, marking another bold chapter in Mari Selvaraj’s cinematic journey.
