Dharmana Krishnadas Visits Families Of Tribal Students Killed In Train Accident

Former Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Dharmana Krishnadas and Tekkali YSRCP coordinator Perada Tilak on Saturday visited the families of tribal students who died in a recent train accident and offered financial assistance to them.

Krishnadas met the families of Vishal, son of Ganguvada Nagaraju, and Dileep, son of Janni Ramu, at Damar village under Mukhalingapuram panchayat in Tekkali mandal. He also visited the family of Janni Sharat Kumar, a resident of Chinna Bhimpuram village under Meghavaram panchayat.

Expressing his condolences, Krishnadas said the deaths of four students in the accident and the serious injury suffered by another student were deeply tragic. He said the loss was particularly devastating for the poor tribal families, who had suffered an irreparable loss.

He stressed the need for greater attention to safety measures in hostels housing tribal students, saying adequate precautions should be put in place to prevent such incidents and protect students.

Krishnadas said he was deeply moved after seeing the condition of the bereaved families. According to him, the affected families also expressed their anguish over the response of the authorities, particularly regarding the handing over of the bodies and the assistance provided during the relief operations.

He said he had visited the families following the directions of YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to extend support to those affected by the tragedy.

Several YSRCP leaders and party workers were present during the visits.
