Dhanush’s Idli Kadai set for global Netflix premiere on October 29

Tamil actor-filmmaker Dhanush’s comedy-drama Idli Kadai is all set to make its digital debut on Netflix on October 29. The film, which hit theatres on October 1, 2025, will stream in five languages Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam bringing its heartwarming tale to audiences worldwide.

Written and directed by Dhanush himself, Idli Kadai follows the story of Murugan, a man who returns from Dubai to his native village in Tamil Nadu to revive his late father’s struggling idli shop. The film blends humour, nostalgia, and emotion as Murugan reconnects with his roots and community.

The movie stars Nithya Menen as the female lead, with Arun Vijay in a significant supporting role. Music by GV Prakash Kumar adds a touch of nostalgic charm, complementing the film’s rustic setting and emotional tone.
