DGP announces new SPs for 14 AP districts

In a significant administrative reshuffle, Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta has issued orders appointing new Superintendents of Police (SPs) for 14 districts across Andhra Pradesh. The decision is part of a strategic move to enhance law and order and bring fresh leadership to key regions of the state.

The new orders mark a balanced approach, with seven officers receiving their first SP appointments and seven others being transferred from different districts. The existing SPs in 12 other districts have been retained, ensuring a degree of continuity in their respective jurisdictions. • BR Ambedkar Konaseema: Rahul Meena

• Bapatla: Umamaheshwar

• Krishna: Vidyasagar Naidu

• Nellore: Ajitha Vejendla

• Tirupati: Subbarayudu

• Annamayya: Dheeraj Kunugili

• Kadapa: Nachiket

The transfers of experienced officers to new districts are intended to leverage their expertise in different operational environments. The list of transferred SPs and their new assignments includes:

• Nandyala: Sunil Sheran

• Vizianagaram: AR Damodar

• Palnadu: D. Krishna Rao

• Prakasam: Harshavardhan Raju
