Devendra Fadnavis Visits Pawan Kalyan in Mumbai After Successful Shoulder Surgery

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday visited Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, where the actor-politician is recovering after undergoing successful shoulder surgery. Fadnavis enquired about Kalyan's health and wished him a speedy recovery, joining several leaders who have extended their support following the procedure.

Pawan Kalyan underwent a 3.5-hour arthroscopic surgery on Saturday under the supervision of renowned orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala . The procedure repaired a severe tear in the right shoulder rotator cuff tendons along with an associated bone injury. According to a health bulletin issued by the Jana Sena Party, the surgery was successful and Kalyan is recovering well under medical observation.

The injury reportedly dates back to 2016 and worsened over the years due to extensive public engagements and political campaigns, including physical interactions with supporters during events such as the Porata Yatra . Doctors are also monitoring his left shoulder, which has shown similar symptoms and may require treatment in the future.

A day before Fadnavis' visit, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Kalyan at the hospital and said he was recovering steadily. Naidu revealed that doctors have advised three weeks of complete rest followed by physiotherapy, with a full recovery expected in about four months . He added that despite medical advice to rest, Kalyan was eager to resume public duties at the earliest.

Meanwhile, Kalyan's wife Anna Konidela shared an emotional message on social media, saying he had endured years of pain without complaint. Her post drew widespread support from fans, who flooded social media with wishes for his speedy recovery. While some critics questioned his decision to undergo treatment in Mumbai instead of Andhra Pradesh, supporters continued to rally behind the Deputy Chief Minister during his recovery.
