Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has launched ‘Adavi Thalli Bata 2.0’, a programme aimed at improving road connectivity in remote tribal habitations and ending the hardships associated with transporting patients on dolis.

During his visit to Rakota hilltop village in the Rampachodavaram constituency on Sunday, Pawan Kalyan interacted with tribal residents under a tree as part of the ‘Maata-Manthi’ programme. After listening to their concerns, he directed officials to undertake development works worth approximately Rs. 5 crore, covering education, healthcare and temple infrastructure.

A major component of the initiative is a 3.4-km blacktop (BT) road, to be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.29 crore. The road will connect Kakavada, Rakota, Suvarlavada and Vemulakonda, benefiting around 1,400 people across the four tribal habitations by improving access to essential services and transportation.

Pawan Kalyan sanctioned Rs. 20 lakh for renovating the dilapidated Mandal Parishad Primary School building in Rakota and Rs. 15 lakh for constructing a village health clinic. He also visited the local Hanuman temple and offered prayers. An additional Rs. 20 lakh, with support from the Endowments Department, was allocated to develop the existing tin-roofed structure into a bhajana mandir.

Residents from Vemulakonda, Suvarlavada, Dabbavalasa, Tirugatirallu, Kakavada, Chilakaveedhi, Vettichelakalu and Sokulagudem raised their grievances during the interaction. The Deputy Chief Minister instructed officials to work towards providing every village with a Mandal Parishad school, an Anganwadi centre and a village health clinic.

He also met a tribal family producing household articles from bamboo and assured them of government assistance to add value to their products and increase their income.

Additionally, Pawan Kalyan launched the distribution of watershed development equipment under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana 2.0, handing over tools to tribal farmers. The statewide programme aims to benefit 34,000 eligible farmers with equipment worth Rs. 68 crore.

The visit highlighted the government's efforts to address infrastructure deficiencies, improve public services and strengthen livelihood opportunities in tribal communities.
