Deputy CM Bhatti inaugurates Singareni GM office in Sattupalli

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka inaugurated the new office of the General Manager of Singareni Collieries in Sattupalli today. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted Singareni’s remarkable 136-year legacy and emphasized the state government’s commitment to strengthening this heritage.

Bhatti noted that Singareni is not only focused on coal production but is also taking steps to expand into emerging sectors such as rare earth minerals, critical minerals, solar energy, hydro, battery storage, hydrogen, and other green energy initiatives. He expressed the ambition for Singareni to grow both locally and globally, aiming to establish it as a “Make in Telangana - Global Leader.”

The Deputy CM also underscored the significance of the company for more than 85,000 employees and their families, stressing that every worker and officer should contribute wholeheartedly to its development.

He further mentioned Singareni’s involvement in major power projects in Rajasthan, including an 800 MW thermal power project and a 1,500 MW solar project, calling it a matter of pride for the state. Bhatti extended his best wishes to all employees, their families, and officers on the occasion of Singareni’s foundation day.

After the inauguration, Bhatti personally inspected the Jalagam Vengalarao Open Mine in Sattupalli alongside officials. During a two-hour visit, he reviewed coal production methods, transportation systems, staff operations, and electricity supply. He also questioned officials on production volumes, market prices, and transport safety measures.

The Deputy CM concluded the visit by inspecting the Coal Dispatch Center to understand how coal is managed and transported from the mine.
