Demi Moore recalls Tom Cruise being ‘embarrassed’ by her pregnancy during ‘A Few Good Men’ shoot

Hollywood star Demi Moore has opened up about an unexpected behind-the-scenes moment from the filming of A Few Good Men , revealing that her co-star Tom Cruise appeared “embarrassed” by her pregnancy during the movie’s production.

In a recent interview, the 62-year-old actress reflected on the 1992 courtroom drama, in which she starred alongside Cruise and Jack Nicholson. Moore, who was expecting her second child at the time, said the experience occasionally became “awkward” because of Cruise’s reaction to her visible pregnancy.

“I think Tom was a little embarrassed by it,” Moore recalled with a laugh. “He didn’t quite know how to handle it. I was in uniform and pregnant, which wasn’t exactly the Hollywood norm at the time.”

The actress, known for her bold roles in Ghost and Indecent Proposal , added that despite the occasional discomfort, Cruise remained professional and supportive throughout filming. “He’s such a perfectionist and always focused on the work. But I could tell sometimes he didn’t know where to look,” she joked.

Released in 1992, A Few Good Men went on to become a major critical and commercial success, earning four Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture. Moore’s portrayal of Lt. Cdr. JoAnne Galloway remains one of her most acclaimed performances.

Reflecting on that period, Moore said her pregnancy taught her to embrace her identity as both an actor and a mother. “It was a time of transformation balancing work and motherhood made me stronger, even if it made others uncomfortable,” she said.
