Delhi to host PWL season 5
The Pro Wrestling League (PWL) is making a grand return with its fifth season, starting January 15 and concluding on February 1. All matches will be held at the Noida Indoor Stadium, the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) announced on Saturday.
After a break of several years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the league returns with Delhi as the sole venue. Over 300 wrestlers from more than 20 countries have registered for the player auction, including Olympic medallists, World Championship finalists, and India’s top senior competitors, WFI President Sanjay Singh said.
Six teams will compete in Season 5, each featuring nine wrestlers, including four women. Teams can have five Indian and four foreign wrestlers, ensuring a mix of local and international talent. Fans can look forward to high-intensity matches and world-class wrestling action in this much-anticipated return.
