Delhi Superheros Beat Majhi Mumbai by 23 Runs in ISPL Season 3
Delhi Superheros registered their first victory of the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) Season 3 , defeating defending champions Majhi Mumbai by 23 runs here on Monday. Defending a modest total of 82, Delhi’s disciplined bowling unit restricted Mumbai to 59 for 6 in their allotted 10 overs.
After being put into bat, Delhi Superheroes struggled against a sharp Mumbai attack. Opener Prathamesh Pawar anchored the innings with a steady 20 off 22 balls, while the middle order collapsed under pressure from the Mumbai bowlers. A late cameo from Padmesh Mhatre , who smashed 16 runs off just 6 deliveries, including two boundaries and a six, helped push Delhi to a fighting total of 82 for 9. Mhatre was later named Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
In reply, Majhi Mumbai’s chase never gained momentum. Delhi bowlers exploited the tape ball conditions effectively, maintaining pressure from the start. Mhatre followed up his batting heroics with a match-winning spell, taking 2 wickets for 10 runs. He was ably supported by Sahil Longale , who returned figures of 2/11.
The victory propels Delhi Superheroes back into contention after their opening loss, while defending champions Majhi Mumbai face an uphill battle to stay in the title race.
