Delhi Shock: 27-year-old run over by JCB during park work

A 27-year-old man, Md Hussain , was killed after being allegedly run over by a JCB machine in northwest Delhi’s Shakurpur area on Saturday morning, police said.

The incident occurred around 10 am near a graveyard in Shakurpur. Police teams rushed to the spot after receiving information about the accident. Hussain, a resident of Shakurpur, succumbed to his injuries on the spot , authorities confirmed.

The JCB driver, Ashish (23) , a native of Azamgarh district in Uttar Pradesh , was apprehended by locals and handed over to the police. According to preliminary investigation, the accused was driving the JCB towards Beriwala Bagh for park levelling work when the incident occurred.

Police have registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and further investigation is underway to determine whether the incident was accidental or intentional .

Authorities are examining CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts to ascertain the circumstances leading to the tragedy. Local residents expressed shock over the incident and urged for strict action.
