Delhi Police have registered a fresh case after posters were allegedly pasted on a wall and black-ink writing was found at Shivaji Stadium Metro station on the Airport Express Line, police sources said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on October 24, when posters were allegedly found near Emergency Gate No. 5, while writing in black ink was noticed on a shaft wall near Gate No. 7, according to police sources.

The IGI Airport Metro Police registered a case against an unidentified person under the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act and the Metro Railways Act. Further investigation is underway.

The latest case comes days after two posters questioning the Centre’s performance over recent years were found inside a train operating on the same metro line.

The earlier incident came to light on October 20, when a train operator noticed the posters on a seat while inspecting a train after it arrived at Yashobhoomi station from New Delhi, according to the police complaint.

The posters, printed in black and white on A4-sized sheets, raised several issues and included a QR code inviting people to join an online group. One poster carried the heading “Dissatisfied? You Are Not Alone” and listed nine claims about changes in the country over recent years. The second called for collective engagement and community building.

The posters were removed and handed over to the police. A separate case was registered against unidentified persons in connection with that incident. Police sources had also said that the Special Cell was involved in the investigation.

The latest FIR concerns the posters and markings found at Shivaji Stadium station. Police have not established whether this incident is connected to the earlier discovery of posters inside the train.

Investigators are continuing their inquiry into the latest case to establish the circumstances of the alleged defacement and identify those responsible. No further details about the identity of the suspect were provided.
