‘Deewana’ unveils first single ‘Idi Prema’, sets tone for breezy summer romance

The makers of Deewana have released the film’s first single, Idi Prema , offering audiences a glimpse into its light-hearted yet emotionally resonant love story. The track, composed and written by Eswar Chand, has quickly gained traction online, drawing praise for its soothing melody and nostalgic romantic appeal.

Eswar Chand, an emerging talent in Telugu cinema, has been steadily gaining recognition for his melody-driven compositions and lyrical sensibilities. With Idi Prema , he blends simple yet evocative lyrics with a breezy tune, reflecting his inclination toward emotionally rooted storytelling through music.

The song is rendered by Karthik, whose expressive vocals elevate the composition. Known for his versatility and a repertoire of chart-topping songs across multiple languages, Karthik brings depth and warmth to the track, striking a chord with listeners.

Featuring lead actors Harshith Reddy and Smeha Manimegalai, the video captures the innocence and vibrancy of young love. Harshith Reddy , who transitioned from being a social media influencer to an actor, lends a fresh on-screen presence, while Smeha makes her Telugu debut with the film.

Directed by Sreekanth Sangishetty, a filmmaker from the new generation of Telugu cinema, Deewana reflects his focus on youth-centric, relationship-driven narratives. Though still emerging in the industry, this project is seen as a significant step in establishing his directorial voice.

The single was launched at a promotional event attended by filmmaker B. V. Nandini Reddy, generating early buzz around the project.

Backed by Geetha Arts, the film is slated for a summer 2026 release. With Idi Prema garnering significant views within hours of its launch, Deewana is already building anticipation ahead of its theatrical debut.
