DEE Assam Opens Online Applications

A major recruitment drive for 10,673 Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) Teacher posts has been announced by the Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam. The online application process was opened on November 8, 2025, and will remain available on the official portal dee.assam.gov.in until November 30, 2025.

Under the notification, it has been clarified that only Contractual and State Pool teachers serving under the Sarba Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) are eligible to apply. Eligibility has been restricted to candidates who have completed a minimum of three years of continuous service under SSA as on September 30, 2025. The required academic and professional qualifications must conform to National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) norms and existing government service rules.

Vacancy Distribution and Pay Structure

A combined total of 10,673 vacancies for both LP and UP levels has been notified. Successful candidates will be appointed under Pay Band-2 (PB-2) with a salary scale of ₹14,000 to ₹70,000, along with Grade Pay and additional allowances. The pay structure will follow The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019.

Application Procedure

Applications are being accepted only through the online system, and it has been stated that offline applications will not be considered. Candidates are required to apply for the same category of post that they are currently holding under SSA, and only one post can be applied for by each applicant. The online portal will remain functional from 10:00 AM on November 8 to midnight of November 30, 2025.

The list of documents required for submission will be provided on the portal, and candidates have been advised to regularly check the official DEE Assam website for updates. Further instructions, corrections, or announcements related to the recruitment will be issued exclusively through the official platform. The notification has also mentioned that the Director of Elementary Education, Assam, reserves the right to postpone or cancel the recruitment process at any stage without providing a reason.
