David Warner Joins WCL Season 3, Set To Share Spotlight With Yuvraj, De Villiers And Bravo

Former Australia opener David Warner will headline a star-studded World Championship of Legends (WCL) Season 3, joining a galaxy of retired international stars including Yuvraj Singh, AB de Villiers, Dwayne Bravo, Shahid Afridi and Moeen Ali.

The third edition of the tournament is scheduled to take place from October 3 to 18, although the venue is yet to be announced. Organisers have also confirmed the addition of Bangladesh Champions, expanding the tournament's line-up of former international stars.

Warner's arrival adds another major attraction to a competition that has rapidly built a following by bringing some of cricket's most recognisable names back onto the field. The Australian, known for his aggressive batting and explosive strokeplay, will now be part of a dressing room featuring several former world-class match-winners.

The organisers said the upcoming season would feature an even stronger collection of players, with Yuvraj Singh, AB de Villiers, Dwayne Bravo, Shahid Afridi and Moeen Ali continuing their association with the competition alongside the newly announced Warner and Mahmudullah Riyad.

The first two editions produced closely fought contests. India Champions won the inaugural season, defeating Pakistan Champions, while South Africa Champions claimed the second title after beating Pakistan Champions.

WCL founder and CEO Harshit Tomar said the third season would be particularly special, hinting that the tournament would move outside the United Kingdom and promising surprises for fans.

With several iconic names already confirmed, WCL Season 3 is shaping up as a major nostalgia-driven cricket spectacle, offering fans another opportunity to watch some of the game's biggest stars return to competitive action.
