‘Dacoit’ secures U/A certification, trailer launch today

The upcoming action-romantic film Dacoit , headlined by Adivi Sesh, has received a U/A certification from the Central Board of Film Certification for both its Telugu and Hindi versions, clearing the way for a wider theatrical audience.

Directed by Shaneil Deo, the film blends elements of revenge and romance, positioning itself as a high-stakes emotional drama. Alongside Sesh, the cast features Mrunal Thakur and filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap in key roles, adding depth to the narrative.

Backed by Annapurna Studios, Dacoit has been generating buzz since the release of its teaser in December last year. The film’s music, composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, has also contributed to growing anticipation among audiences.

The makers are set to unveil the official trailer at a launch event in Mumbai on April 4, marking a significant promotional milestone ahead of its global theatrical release scheduled for April 10 .

Industry observers note that the film’s certification and upcoming trailer release are expected to further amplify interest, particularly given its cross-language appeal and genre mix.
