‘Dacoit’ Locks Ugadi 2026 Release

The makers of Adivi Sesh’s romantic-revenge thriller Dacoit have finally confirmed a fresh release date. Originally planned for Christmas this year, the film will now arrive in theatres on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the Ugadi festival. Incidentally, Kannada star Yash’s Toxic is also eyeing the same slot, though industry insiders hint that production delays could push the latter’s rollout.

A gripping release date poster has been unveiled, capturing Sesh and Mrunal Thakur inside a car amid chaos. Sesh is seen brandishing a gun at unseen foes while Mrunal looks visibly rattled, hinting at a high voltage action sequence.

Blending love and vendetta, Dacoit promises to be another grand venture from Annapurna Studios. Directed by debutant Shaneil Deo, it is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda with Suniel Narang as co-producer. Bollywood’s Anurag Kashyap marks his Telugu entry in a pivotal cop role. The film will release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
