CSO launches national aviation olympiad 2026 for young minds

The Centre for Scientific Outreach (CSO) proudly announces the launch of the National Aviation Olympiad (NAO) 2026, India’s first pan-India initiative designed to inspire, educate, and engage school students in the exciting world of aviation.

The Olympiad aims to connect young minds with India’s rapidly growing aviation sector, nurturing the next generation of aviators, engineers, policymakers, and innovators. Guided by a committee of 100 experts from academia, industry, and policymaking, NAO will test students’ knowledge of science, technology, and aviation fundamentals while promoting creativity, problem-solving, and awareness of the aviation industry’s role in national development.

The competition, running from August to December 2026, will unfold in three phases: school-level rounds, state-level competitions, and the National Grand Finale, where the top five students from each state and UT will showcase their talent. The Olympiad will also offer mock tests, seminars, mentorship, and exposure visits to help students explore aviation careers.
