
Crown of Glory: Sadhvi Satish Sail shines at National Pageant
Goa’s Sadhvi Satish Sail emerged as the winner of the prestigious Femina Miss India World 2026 title at a grand ceremony held in Bhubaneswar on Saturday night. Competing against 30 competitors from across the country, Sail impressed the judges with her poise, confidence, and overall performance to clinch the coveted crown.
With this victory, Sail has earned the honour of representing India at the upcoming 75th Miss World pageant, placing her on the global stage among the world’s top beauty and talent ambassadors. Calling her win “surreal,” she expressed gratitude for the opportunity and responsibility to represent the nation internationally.
The event also saw Rajnandini Pawar from Maharashtra being named the first runner-up, while Sree Advaita G from Jammu and Kashmir secured the second runner-up position.
Adding star power to the evening, veteran actor Zeenat Aman graced the occasion and spoke about the enduring legacy of the pageant. Reflecting on her own journey, she highlighted how platforms like Miss India have helped young women gain exposure, confidence, and opportunities on a global scale.
This year’s pageant was particularly significant as it marked the first time the event was hosted in Odisha. During their stay, contestants explored the state’s rich cultural heritage with visits to iconic locations such as the Konark Sun Temple and Chandrabhaga Beach, adding a cultural dimension to the competition.
As the new titleholder, Sail is expected to undergo extensive preparation for the international stage, including grooming, training, and participation in social initiatives key aspects of the Miss World journey. Her win not only marks a personal milestone but also adds to India’s strong legacy in global beauty pageants.
