Cristiano Ronaldo’s Sister Elma Aveiro Meets Kerala CM V D Satheesan in Kozhikode

Elma Aveiro, sister of global football icon Cristiano Ronaldo, met Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan during her visit to the state, the Chief Minister’s Office said on Wednesday.

The meeting took place in Kozhikode on Tuesday, with Satheesan later sharing a video of their brief interaction on his social media platforms.

Describing the meeting as a warm interaction, the Chief Minister said he spoke to Aveiro about the deep passion Malayalis have for football and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Had a warm interaction with Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister, Elma Aveiro, during her visit to Kerala. Shared with her the boundless passion and love Malayalis have for football and for Cristiano,” Satheesan said in a post.

He added that Aveiro had graciously promised to convey the warm wishes and affection of Kerala’s football fans to her brother.

In the video shared by Satheesan, the Chief Minister can be heard saying that Ronaldo enjoys a huge fan following in Kerala, including among political leaders such as himself. Aveiro is also seen asking to take a photograph with him.

The interaction has drawn attention from football fans across Kerala, where Ronaldo remains one of the most widely admired international football stars.
