Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a blistering attack on the Congress government in Telangana, accusing it of betraying unemployed youth by failing to implement promises made under its much-publicised Youth Declaration before the Assembly elections.

Addressing the massive Yuvajana Sangrama Sabha at Saroor Nagar Stadium on Saturday, KTR said the same venue where the Congress unveiled its Youth Declaration through Priyanka Gandhi Vadra three years ago had now become a platform for young people to hold the ruling party accountable. He claimed that Telangana’s youth were preparing to write a “political death declaration” for Congress over what he described as broken promises and deception.

Switching to Hindi while addressing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi , KTR said the party’s slogan of “Mohabbat Ki Dukaan” had become a “Gaddari Ka Makaan” for Telangana’s unemployed youth. He questioned Rahul Gandhi’s silence over alleged police action against job aspirants and accused the state government of creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the Emergency era.

The BRS leader alleged that Congress had failed to fulfil key promises, including 2 lakh government jobs in the first year , ₹4,000 monthly unemployment allowance , electric scooters for college girls and interest-free loans of ₹10 lakh for youth. He said that despite election slogans promising jobs, the government had not even released a comprehensive job calendar.

KTR also accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of claiming credit for recruitments initiated during the previous BRS regime. Throwing an open challenge, he said he would retire from politics if the Congress government could prove it had independently filled 70,000 jobs through fresh recruitment notifications after coming to power.

Highlighting the BRS record, KTR said the previous government had completed recruitment for 1.62 lakh posts and initiated processes for 2.32 lakh jobs . Referring to the TSPSC paper leak case , he said the BRS government itself had exposed the irregularities and acted against those responsible.

Stating that BRS would always pursue democratic methods of protest, KTR said the party would never target students with cases or encourage unconstitutional actions. Expressing confidence that K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) would return as Chief Minister in 2028 , he promised that a future BRS government would focus on fulfilling the aspirations of Telangana’s youth. He also congratulated Skyroot Aerospace on the successful launch of its Vikram-1 rocket , calling it a proud achievement for Telangana.
