‘Congress means corruption,’ says BJP leader

BJP leader Boora Narsaiah Goud on Thursday reacted to the attempted arrest of N. Sumanth, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Telangana Minister Konda Surekha, calling it “just the tip of the iceberg.” He alleged that the Congress government in Telangana is deeply involved in corruption and accused it of making Sumanth a scapegoat.

“The recent incident of police trying to arrest the OSD of Minister Konda Surekha is nothing new. Congress means corruption. Maybe they are trying to make the OSD a scapegoat. From the Chief Minister’s Office to MLA and minister offices, corruption is everywhere,” Narsaiah claimed. He further alleged that money looted from Telangana was sent to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and shared among ministers, MLAs, and other party leaders.

The remarks came after Telangana police reportedly attempted to arrest N. Sumanth, who was recently terminated from his post as OSD. During the incident, Minister Surekha’s daughter, Konda Sushmitha, intervened and stopped the arrest, accusing the Chief Minister’s Office of political vendetta.

Sushmitha alleged that her mother was being unfairly targeted. “My mother is a minister, and this is how they treat us. There have been murder attempts on us. The police came without an arrest warrant, in plain clothes. I told them to bring a warrant if they wanted to take Sumanth,” she said.

She also accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of being directly involved. “This cannot happen without the CM’s approval. Why are they targeting a BC woman? My father is the first MLC in the country. I want to know why Revanth Reddy’s brothers have gunmen,” she questioned.

The incident has sparked a political storm, with the BJP accusing the Congress of corruption and misuse of power.
