Visakhapatnam Police on Wednesday granted conditional permission to YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to visit Narsipatnam Medical College (Makavarapalem Medical College) on October 9.

The visit is part of Jagan’s campaign against the alleged privatization of 10 government medical colleges by the TDP-led NDA government. Police emphasized that the permission is strictly for transit and official purposes, with several conditions to ensure public safety and order.

According to the press release, the approved travel route extends from Visakhapatnam Airport → NAD Junction → Pendurthi → Saripalli → National Highway → Anakapalli → Tallapalem → Makavarapalem. Authorities have prohibited any changes to the route, mass gatherings, or meetings en route.

The convoy accompanying Jagan is limited to 10 vehicles. Any violation of these conditions, including exceeding the convoy limit or organizing public rallies, may result in immediate cancellation of the permission.

Police also warned that any injury, loss of life, or damage to public or private property during the visit will make the organizers fully accountable.

It is noteworthy that Narsipatnam Medical College was inaugurated prior to Jagan’s tenure as Chief Minister, during the TDP government led by N. Chandrababu Naidu. Jagan’s upcoming visit is the first campaign visit to this college in the context of opposing privatization.
