Coalition Government is keeping its Promise on Rs20,000 for farmers: AP CM

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu told the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly that his government has fulfilled its commitment to farmers by launching the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme and releasing the first installment of support.

Naidu said the programme, which guarantees ₹20,000 annually per farmer family including the Centre’s ₹6,000 contribution, began with the disbursal of the first tranche of ₹7,000 on August 2, 2025. This assistance reached 46.86 lakh farmers , with a total of ₹3,174 crore credited directly into their accounts. Of this, ₹5,000 came from the state and ₹2,000 from the Centre under PM-Kisan .

He reminded the House that the coalition government enhanced the state’s contribution to ₹14,000 , nearly doubling the previous regime’s ₹7,500 share. “Coming from a farmer’s family, I consider it a privilege to stand by our annadatas,” Naidu told legislators.

Meanwhile, the second tranche of ₹7,000 is scheduled to be released on October 18, ahead of Diwali , bringing more relief to farm households during the festive season. Officials have advised beneficiaries to complete their e-KYC and NPCI bank mapping to ensure smooth transfers.

With this rollout, the government is set to keep its annual promise of ₹20,000 per farmer family in three installments , strengthening the rural economy and easing cultivation costs.
